It's chocolaty, it's fruity is chocoruity.
I made these as part of my Christmas presents this year. It's pretty easy to make, it's sweet, AND you can cut it into sticks in the hope that the 'getters' of the 'gift' use it in hot chocolates or hot drinks and it will go all gooey and melty...mmmmmm....or!....put it in the middle of a long jam donut from the fish and chip shop and take a big chomp (my sis and I call this a Chocolate, Jam EXPLOSION)...so bad but so good.

Q.What do you need?
A.
400g Dark Chocolate
200g dried fruit (apricots, pineapple, pear, apple, mango etc. I just rocked into the bulk bins section of the supermarket and got some tropicana mix)
Q. What do you do?
A.
Simmer the dried fruit in 1/4C water with 1/4C castor sugar for 10-15min. Drain and dry well.
Chop chocolate. Melt in a bowl on top of a simmering pot of water until smooth (keep a good stir going, cause near the end it can burn pretty quickly. I usually whip it off when there are still a few chunks of chocolate left, they tend to melt with a bit of a stir once they are off the pot)
Put the dry fruit in a bowl and pour the chocolate in. Stir to combine.
Tip the mixture into a brownie or log tin that is lined with baking paper. Spread it out as thin as possible.
Leave to set in a cool place (not in the fridge, it makes the chocolate look dull in colour)
Cut bark into long shards.Ta Darrrrr! Chocolate Fruity Bark.
Store in a paper lined container, or wrap loosly in cellophane and keep in a cool place until you gift it to your buddies, or until you have got your jam donut from the fish and chip shop.
Easy Peasy.
