Death by chocolate murder mystery...oooohhhh

Posted by gem, 15th August 2009

So, how about we go and eat some yumo chocolates, and play a live game of Cluedo? Sounds pretty up there on the pretty sweet things to do list!

Death by Chocolate, winner of the 'Best Special Event' at the Melbourne Fringe Festival, had sell outs in Edinbourgh and Adelaide, and an extended season in Melbourne last year, is coming to Wellington.

What happens??.....'you pay $38 (or $30 student fee) and you are enrolled as a dectective for the murder mystery. Chocolate is connected to the victims demise, 'traces were found on his lips and fingertips. Some may accuse Chocolate of being the murder weapon' dododododododo (this is my scary piano danger music)  The first part is the web experience, where you get tips and tricks for interrogation techniques (I hear water boarding is a no-no...maybe you could team up with someone and do good cop/bad cop??), and a run down on evidence collecting. You then have daily clues, and the ability to interview suspects. Then there is a two hour live event, where the interrogation takes place, evidence riffling along with a whole heap of chocolate tasting. So basically it is interactive theatre.

It runs from September 4-27th, from Thursday-Saturday @ Dranfield House on Willis Street in Aro Valley.

I'm sure we can use some other erinterrogation techniques, we can employ US soldier techniques from Iraq, Afghanistan and Guantanamo Bay. The songs previously used, which I think will work a treat include "I Love You," from the "Barney and Friends" children's TV show. • "Sesame Street," theme song

Yes, this would work quite a treat on me. Can you tell me how to get, How to get to Sesame Street? I was also thinking of employing some of George W Bush administrations 'Advanced Interrogation Techniques' of which 'sensory deprivation' could work well with the inclusion of the chocolate tasting. Death by Chocolate...not so much fun if you can't taste the chocolate.

I could think of worse....imagine sensory overload with chocolate, it could destroy your want for chocolate forever...dum dum dum (low scary tones)
