A while ago I heard of a website where you could design your own shoes. Gladiater heels, ankle boots, ballet flats, platform, wedge! You name it (just don't name sneaker). You can customise it with colours, leathers, snakeskins, fishskins, italian silks, even hair (!? I don't know why you would want hair on your shoe), not to mention decorations, the size of the heel and different backs. I had a wee google search and I found it!
I just spent an hour designing my shoe (well actually I designed quite a few, but it took me an hour to decide on one) It gave me a deja vu moment of watching the movie 'Clueless' (with Alicia Silverstone), I must of been 14?? but the scene where she has the computer and is designing her outfit...it's like the equivelant of that, but with shoes.
It was fun. I went with Silk, and considering they are personalised, I thought the price was very reasonable.
They also have there own 'ready made' pairs, ooodles of them. I like these ones, even though if I had them I probably wouldn't have anything to wear them with. Dreams are free.
