Hot Cross Bun, see how they run...INTO MY MOUTH!

Posted by gem, 25th March 2010

Smiley face.

One a penny, two a penny. Hot Cross Bun.

Man oh Man, Gipsy Kitchen, Hot Cross Bun....Go there, eat it.

You've got to love Easter. Chocolate Eggs and Fruit Buns with loads of butter. Thank you Christianity for the holiday, Germany for the idea of Bunnys bringing chocolate gifts in the shape of eggs...and Saxons for the Buns.

Here is a cute little piece of info - Sharing a hot cross bun with another is supposed to ensure friendship throughout the coming year, particularly if "Half for you and half for me, Between us two shall goodwill be" is said at the time. Because of the cross on the buns, some say they should be kissed before being eaten. If taken on a sea voyage, hot cross buns are said to protect against shipwreck. If hung in the kitchen, they are said to protect against fires and ensure that all breads turn out perfectly. The hanging bun is replaced each year.

Hmmm, you will struggle to share the super delicious buns. But can TOTALLY see how they protect against shipwreck (!?, does this combination of punctuation represent sarcasm?)

Any man who can drive safetly while kissing a pretty girl is simply not giving the kiss the attention it deserves.
