So many pretty pictures in magazines! Peope spend THOUSANDS on getting their product photographed or designed to be published so we can look at them and then throw them away.......I say NO!...in this sustainable age we live in and the fact that getting letters in the post is awesome and should be bought back (penpals..those were the days)...make the pretty pictures and ads into mag-velopes!
All you need is an old envelope (the ones with the straight seal as opposed to the triangular seal, fit on a regular magazine sized page) opened up, to trace from. A gluestick, and something with a sharp edge to get some clean folds (I used one of those steel rulers).
So..you just cut out the mag page that you are using, trace the open envelope shape on to the page, cut around the lines, and fold like the old envelope. Then glue the sides together.
Then write your mum a letter and send it in the mag-velope in the post. Owwww, isn't that sweet. She'll think you are so clever.
