Orange and Red Op Shop Inferno

Posted by gem, 22nd July 2009

Oh hello brightness my friend! Aren't you happy colours.

These are my finds from an Op Shop mish on Saturday. My prettysweet friend Kelly decided that I needed a bag. She was so right! My family describe me as a gypsy because I am losing things all the time. Keys, wallets, phones, theres so much to lose when you don't have a bag! But now, thanks to Kelly I do! So hopefully my losing streak is over. Red bag $3.

I also found these old school orange scales. I just think they look cool, and mainly bought them for looks as it matches my furniture, and plus I thought they would be a good 'wife' for my grater that I bought previously (they just look so good together). The scales will come in handy for cooking purposes also. Scales $3.

Both the scales and the bag were bought from St Vincent De Paul in Miramar.

The grater was bought previously, from a second-hand shop in Newtown. I always had an issue with the normal graters you buy because, they are just awkward to use with a block of cheese. It always feels uncomfortable! but this guy has a wind up on the side that moves the circular grater in the centre, and you push the block of cheese onto the top. Genius. Grater $2.

OMG! I am so jealous!!! I wish I could get $2 and $3 things in snorkland! Instead I have to pay 300 clams for a dress, and cause I'm underwear everything is always wet and rotting!!! Grrrr, I've had such a happy day!

Are scales a lady object and grater a manly one? ("wife") Love the colours!! very pretty and sweet

Yeah, thought the grater was a little more manly, with the whole blade deal. Scales are much cuter so figured girls are cuter than boys. Casey Kelp! 300 clams for a dress seems a little exuberant for a dress, unless of course it is made by a designer snork.

The depressing thing about tennis is that no matter how good I get, I'll never be as good as a wall.
