The game that can solve the worlds problems.
Who is going to go and get the Fish and Chips? Answer: Looser of 'Paper, Scissors, Rock'
I want to go to Fiji, You want to go to Hawaii....Lets 'Paper, Scissors, Rock'
You want to become a republic, I don't...Lets 'Paper, Scissors, Rock'.....this perhaps wouldn't work.
So, maybe not the worlds problems, maybe more tedious decisions.
Anywho...Paper, Scissors, Rock has World Championships in Toronto every year. $10,000 up for grabs.
You can qualify in NZ. In Christchurch, from the 4-25 March at Iconic Bar, with the decider in Tauranga on May 1st.
I did a little reading, and there are some pretty serious players out there. They even have a book called 'Rock, Paper, Scissors Strategy Guide' that tells you about how to use 'gambits', which are a series of 3 consecutive moves with names like 'The Avalanche', 'Fist Full of Dollars' and 'The Scissor Sandwich'. The book also teaches you about 'Gamesmenship' - which in Rock, Paper, Scissors language is the art of positioning the players for victory by decieving the opponent into making a predictable throw or have them mis-calculate your throw. Interesting.
Check out www.worldrps.com/ for more info, but remember to study up if you are thinking about entering! And get yourself a cool tracksuit.
Here is a trailer for a movie all about the coverted game.
