Upside down Pear and Ginger Cake

I think I have finally nailed the upside down cake.

Now, I know there a lot of people out there who are a little pessimistic about ginger related things, but Pears and Ginger should get married. They are perfect together. I fed some of these 'ginger-haters' with this cake last night, and they L O V E loved it. Don't be a ginger-hater, it is spice-ism.

Bob Marley likes making jam.

A friend and I found some cheap punnets of strawberries on our way to Palmerston North a few weeks ago, so we bought up big time...and made many jars of jam for Christmas presents.



560g Jam sugar (Supermarkets sell the Chelsea branded jam sugar)

Chocolate Fruity Bark

It's chocolaty, it's fruity is chocoruity.

I made these as part of my Christmas presents this year. It's pretty easy to make, it's sweet, AND you can cut it into sticks in the hope that the 'getters' of the 'gift' use it in hot chocolates or hot drinks and it will go all gooey and melty...mmmmmm....or!....put it in the middle of a long jam donut from the fish and chip shop and take a big chomp...
